Iron Deficiency Relief, Expert IV Iron Infusions
Are you struggling with fatigue, brain fog, cold hands and feet, or persistent low energy? Iron deficiency affects many people across North Vancouver, West Vancouver, and the North Shore, often leaving patients feeling constantly tired and unable to perform at their best.
Oral iron supplements can cause digestive discomfort and may not correct more serious deficiencies quickly enough. At Edgemont Naturopathic Clinic, our IV Iron Infusions offer a faster, medically supervised option to help restore iron levels safely and effectively.
Our clinic provides both Monoferric® and Venofer® protocols, tailored to your needs and lab results. Whether you are a busy professional, an athlete, pregnant, or managing chronic fatigue, our team of naturopathic and medical doctors ensures your treatment is precise, evidence-based, and comfortable.
With direct billing to major insurers, extended hours, and a welcoming, spa-like setting, we make it easier to restore your energy and feel your best.

Advanced Iron Infusion Protocols, Tailored to You
Not all iron infusions are the same. Edgemont Naturopathic Clinic offers two leading intravenous iron protocols, Monoferric® and Venofer®.
For non-pregnant adults with ferritin levels below 30 ug/L, the Monoferric protocol delivers up to 1,000 mg of iron in a single infusion, allowing for rapid repletion in cases of significant deficiency. For ferritin levels above 30 ug/L, a 500 mg dose is typically used.
Pregnant patients, or those who benefit from a more gradual approach, may receive the Venofer protocol, 200 mg twice weekly, to support safety and appropriate maternal and fetal care.
We support a wide range of patients, including vegetarians and vegans, frequent blood donors, menstruating or perimenopausal women, athletes, and those recovering from surgery or chronic illness.
All infusions are overseen by our integrated team, with Dr. Karen Dallas, MDCM (FRCPC), providing medical oversight. Each patient receives a detailed pre-infusion assessment, and we use hospital-grade iron formulations.
This tailored approach supports effectiveness, helps reduce side effects, and focuses on addressing the underlying cause of your symptoms.

Frequently Asked Questions About IV Iron Infusions
Who is a candidate for IV Iron Infusion therapy?
Ideal candidates include those with confirmed iron deficiency or anemia, poor absorption from oral iron, chronic fatigue, heavy menstruation, pregnancy, or those who are vegetarian, vegan, or frequent blood donors.
What are the benefits of IV Iron over oral supplements?
IV Iron bypasses the digestive system, allowing rapid correction of deficiency without gastrointestinal side effects. It is effective for severe or persistent low iron, delivering results quickly and safely.
How many infusions will I need?
Most patients require one to two infusions, depending on the severity of their deficiency and the protocol used. Your treatment plan is personalized based on bloodwork and clinical assessment.
Are IV Iron Infusions safe?
Yes. Our infusions use hospital-grade compounds, administered by trained professionals under MD/ND supervision. Safety monitoring is performed before, during, and after every treatment.
How soon will I feel better after an infusion?
Many patients notice improved energy and reduced symptoms within 7–14 days following their IV Iron Infusion. Full benefits are typically seen after completing the recommended protocol.
Does the clinic offer direct billing for iron infusions?
Yes. We offer direct billing to major insurance providers for IV Iron Infusions, minimizing out-of-pocket expenses and administrative stress for our patients.
What is the difference between Monoferric and Venofer protocols?
